Shopping In & Around Bandon

There is a delightful shopping district nestled on the northern end of Bandon. The 10 square blocks along the Coquille River waterfront feature unique boutiques, gift shops, a toy store, art galleries, and a great bookstore. When you are ready to rest your feet and enjoy a meal, a cup of coffee, or a cold beer you won’t need to look too far. You might even enjoy the best crab sandwich of your life and be inspired to catch your own (and there’s a perfect place for that). Here are some of the best places to shop in and around Bandon:

An Afternoon Shopping in Old Town Bandon

Devon’s Boutique: This women’s boutique at 92 2nd Street is a popular place to shop. Travel, business, and casual wear clothing are featured in elegant fabrics and knits including cashmere, bamboo, yak, cotton, and cotton blends. Shoes, handbags, and accessories are also for sale at this charming boutique.

Sweet Peas Home and Garden: Located at 155 Baltimore Avenue this lovely shop presents an upscale line of home décor, bath and body products, and vintage treasures. The wares are displayed beautifully. You will want to stop in just for the experience.

The Toy Room: This is a small toy shop with unique treasures. It is located at 295 2nd Street SE. There are plenty of puzzles, stuffed toys, kits, educational games, marbles, and craft supplies. The Toy Room also features a sales annex with merchandise from the store and other area shops at 25%-75% off.

Port-O-Call Tackle and Gifts: This shop is fun! You can stop here to enjoy a crab sandwich, outfit your fishing or crabbing trip, purchase fishing and crabbing licenses and do a little gift shopping. The shop is located at 155 1st Street and is part of Tony’s Crab Shack (a local favorite for crab sandwiches, fish tacos, and Dungeness crab cakes). Tony makes fishing fun. If you stop in for a meal you might find yourself hooked into an unexpected crabbing adventure. The shop rents rings and boats to catch the legendary Dungeness Crab of Coastal Oregon.

Art Galleries: Whether you are looking for artwork for your home, holiday gifts, or want to simply enjoy perusing the talent of local artists and craftspeople there are many art galleries and studios and Bandon to explore. These include Riverside Studio (pottery and basket weaving), Art By the Sea (an artist cooperative), Vines Art Glass (exquisite glass pieces by Bryce Dimitruk), and Second Street Gallery (art from Pacific Northwest and across the U.S.)

WinterRiver Books and Gallery: This independent bookstore at 170 2nd Street SE has been in operation since 1983. The shop is well stocked with books and includes cards, jewelry, music, and games.
